Disney's magical new Dumbo movie soars onto Cineworld screens on 29th March, and is the latest in the studio's long line of live-action remakes. And the good news is you can now book your tickets.
Director Tim Burton, Gothic genius and high prince of the eccentric and magical, steers this take on the big-eared elephant who discovers he can fly. Disney's 1941 animation gets a reworking with an A-list cast led by Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito and Eva Green, the last three of whom have collaborated with Burton before.
Farrell stars as one-armed war veteran Holt Farrier who has taken to working at a lavish circus owned by V.A. Vandemere (Keaton). Holt's children then discover a baby elephant who can use his oversized ears to soar around the big top, something that Vandemere greedily seizes on as his latest star attraction. DeVito stars as sympathetic ring-master Max Medici who helps Holt and his family escape Vandemere's clutches.
The movies promises to be adorned in Burton's visual majesty familiar from the likes of Batman, Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas. It's scored by his regular composer Danny Elfman and costumed by Sleepy Hollow Oscar-winner Colleen Atwood, and is therefore set to be a treat for the eyes and ears.
