In the five years since Disney's Frozen was first released, one question has been on our minds: when will the sequel reach us?
Good news – Frozen 2 is currently in production and will be with us at some stage towards the end of 2019. The reason we're being vague is a UK release date hasn't yet been confirmed (it'll hit American theatres on 27th November), but we do have some nuggets of info about Elsa, Anna and Olaf's return.
In an interview with Variety, writer-director Jennifer Lee has confirmed that out of the movie's four new songs, one in particular promises to rival the ear-worming success of 'Let It Go'. And even more good news, lyricists Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez are back to sprinkle some magic on the soundtrack.
"We have a new song that I think is an evolution," Lee says. "It’s its own song…Bobby [Lopez] and Kristen [Anderson-Lopez] just delivered it three weeks ago. We’ve been working with them for two years and this song just came in and I love it."
Exact story details are thin on the ground but Lee promises something "bigger, more epic" and says the characters will be "going far out of Arendelle".
