Breathtaking manga adaptation Alita: Battle Angel is out now in Cineworld and paints a striking depiction of the future.
Adapted from the popular manga Gunnm by writer-producer James Cameron and director Robert Rodriguez, it's the story of a robot rescued from a scrapheap who must go on a quest in pursuit of herself.
When the eponymous Alita (Bird Box's Rosa Salazar) is restored by kindly Dr Ido (Django Unchained's Christoph Waltz) in the year 2563, she has little idea what kind of a mark she'll make on the world. Soon she is being pursued by an assortment of shadowy figures, including Vector (Green Book Oscar nominee Mahershala Ali) who fixes dangerous Motorball matches.
The movie fuses its all-star cast with the creative visions of Avatar's Cameron and Sin City's Rodriguez. Get ready for Alita: Battle Angel with the following five clips, which include extracts from the film, interviews with its makers, an exploration of the groundbreaking motion-capture visual effects and a chat with composer Tom Holkenborg.
