Did you know we're getting the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home this Saturday?
It's the sequel to 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first movie to properly let fly with Tom Holland's young and enthusiastic wall-crawler. (He made his big screen debut with a brief but significant appearance in Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Captain America: Civil War.)
Far From Home, like its predecessor, exists within a Sony franchise that is separate from the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). We don't know much about the new movie's plot, aside from the fact it takes Spider-Man beyond the confines of New York on a worldwide adventure, encompassing cities like London.
It also stars Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and the actor has posted a hilarious video confirming what we've already known for some time: he's playing mysterious villain Mysterio, a master of deception who poses a serious threat to Holland's Spidey. Check out the video below.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is released in the UK on 5th July 2019, so stay tuned to the blog for a full breakdown of the trailer. Also keep your eyes peeled for our coverage of the first Avengers 4 trailer, widely rumoured to be landing this Friday.
In the meantime, if you're starved of Spidey goodness, don't forget Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse hits us on 12th December, preceded by tonight's MediCinema screening and our Unlimited 3D screening on Friday 7th December. And if you can't make that, don't forget the film previews separately on the 8th and 9th December.
