Stronger: the Unlimited verdict is in on the powerful new Jake Gyllenhaal drama

screen-poster

Unlimited members were lucky enough to attend last night's preview screening of powerful Jake Gyllenhaal drama, Stronger. On wide release from this Friday, it tells the harrowing, inspirational true story of Boston bombing survivor Jeff Bauman (played by Gyllenhaal) and his road to recovery, with the actor being tipped for a possible Oscar nomination.

So what did you guys make of the film? We'll start with Alex who hails Gyllenhaal's performance.

Kiki is another person who praises Gyllenhaal's ability to convey emotional anguish.

Yet Cheltenham Cinematic says the movie offers a multitude of different emotions besides sadness and anger.

Alan says the movie doesn't just belong to Gyllenhaal, also complimenting the supporting performances from Tatiana Maslany as Jeff's girlfriend, Erin, and Miranda Richardson as his mother, Patty.

We'll end with this from Marcus.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts on the movie – anyone else who attended last night's screening, tweet us your responses @Cineworld and using #CineworldUnlimited.

And your Unlimited fun doesn't stop there: this Friday we're hosting your screening of action-packed reboot Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan. Check out the trailer below, and we look forward to seeing you at the screening.
