Celebrate National Cinema Day at Cineworld Dublin on September 3rd

Do you live, breathe and eat movies? Of course you do – otherwise, you wouldn't be here, right? Therefore we're excited to announce the return of National Cinema Day on September 3rd.

Cineworld Dublin is a proud part of this industry-wide initiative, the first of its kind since the 1990s. That means all films, all formats, all day for only €3.

What is National Cinema Day?

Put simply, National Cinema Day is championing the wondrous magic of the big screen, and you're invited to share in that very same magic. The initiative has been developed by the cross-industry body Cinema First and is supported by the Film Distributors’ Association and the UK Cinema Association.

Iain Jacob, Chair of Cinema First, says: "There seems no better time than now to celebrate UK cinema-going, one of the nation’s favourite out-of-home leisure activities. Coming off the back of a very strong summer for the sector and looking forward to further film highlights over the rest of the year, we wanted to give everyone a chance to enjoy the big screen experience with the film of their choice."

How is Cineworld supporting National Cinema Day?

As part of National Cinema Day, all Cineworld tickets are just €3! That means you can catch up on all the latest must-see blockbusters, family movies and event cinema for a fraction of the price, making special memories as you do so.

Does this mean all Cineworld formats are just €3?

Yes, it does! The question is, which format will you choose?

The expansive scope, enlarged screen ratio and immersive surround sound of IMAX invest bold and dynamic new life into your moviegoing experience.

4DX is a thrilling multisensory experience that is unique to Cineworld cinemas in the UK and Ireland. Moving seats combine with wind, rain, scents and other effects to put you in the heart of the action.

What movies are showing at Cineworld Dublin on National Cinema Day?

Movie fans have not one but two Idris Elba movies to choose from. Embark on a journey across time in George Miller's eye-popping Three Thousand Years of Longing, or watch Idris go feral with a killer lion in the heart-in-the-mouth wilderness thriller Beast.

Feeling in a retro mood? Join the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the re-release of the classic Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Arguably the best Star Trek movie, it's presented in its Director's Cut form, which embellishes a much-loved sci-fi adventure.

Marvel fan? You'll be thrilled to know that Spider-Man: No Way Home is returning to the big screen. The biggest movie of 2021 now sports 11 minutes of exciting new footage, so if you couldn't get enough of the Tom Holland/Tobey Maguire/Andrew Garfield triage the first time, you can now soak up the movie magic all over again.

Steven Spielberg's masterpiece E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial makes its astonishing IMAX debut on September 3rd. Don't miss your chance to catch iconic images and tear-jerking scenes in IMAX for the first time, including the breathless bike ride across the moon set to John Williams' Oscar-winning score.

Set sail with Cornwall's most iconic buoy band in the heartwarming Fisherman's Friends: One and All. Catch up with Jordan Peele's terrifying and thought-provoking NOPE, the follow-up to Peele's critically acclaimed Get Out and Us. You can also witness the wonderfully deranged battle for first class supremacy in the all-action Brad Pitt vehicle Bullet Train.
