Cineworld Cheltenham refurbishment opens 4DX and ViP on 6th September

Cineworld Cheltenham's extensive refurbishment pays off this week, as your new cinema opens its doors on Friday 6th September.

With a combination of 4DX and ViP under one roof, it promises an exciting and revolutionary new experience for Cineworlders. Here's what you need to know.

What is 4DX?

Cineworld Cheltenham is our 25th 4DX opening in the UK and Ireland.

4DX provides a revolutionary cinematic experience that stimulates all five senses. This includes high-tech motion seats and special effects including wind, fog, lightning, bubbles, water, rain and scents, in both 2D and 3D formats. These effects work in perfect synchronicity with the action on screen – creating the most unmissable and exhilarating cinematic experience yet.

Cineworld Cheltenham's 4DX opening coincides with the release of chilling Stephen King horror IT CHAPTER TWO. Feel the ferocity of the feared Pennywise as the moving seats and effects of 4DX bring you closer to the evil of the malevolent clown.

What is Cineworld ViP?

Preparing for a spine-tingling evening in the company of Pennywise the clown? Celebrate the release of horror epic IT CHAPTER TWO the proper way with a luxury ViP experience at Cineworld Cheltenham. This is our fourth ViP opening in the UK and Ireland and houses 102 seats.

Cineworld’s premium ViP screening rooms provides the next level in cinema comfort the moment guests walk through the door, offering guests access to an exclusive private lounge, complimentary dining and unlimited cinema snacks.

Guests are also treated to experience the ultimate in relaxation with supersized, specially designed leather reclining seats and individual tables.

ViP is also open for a host of current and upcoming releases, including Gerard Butler action-thriller Angel Has Fallen, Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and the big screen adaptation of Downton Abbey (released 13th September).
