British artist Rapman makes his gritty and hard-hitting feature film debut with Blue Story, and Cineworld Unlimited audiences get to watch the film in advance this November.
Rapman draws on his own experiences of growing up in London, presenting the story of two friends divided by a violent turf war. The film features breakout performances from Stephen Odubala and Top Boy actor Michael Ward, playing best mates from Peckham and Deptford whose bond is threatened.
Those familiar with Rapman's hit series Shiro's Story will know what to expect: a realistic tale of thwarted dreams and sudden violence. The director himself acts as narrator, utilising rap in place of dialogue to reinforce the personal nature of the tale.
