On the 21st of December, we were delighted to host the 20th anniversary of Cineworld Weymouth. Our special birthday coincided with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, not to mention 20 years since the release of The Phantom Menace, and you can check out the images from the event below.
We enjoyed a movie-themed cake and celebrated by recreating some iconic films from 1999, including The Blair Witch Project, Fight Club and The Matrix.
Man on the Moon
Local residents were invited to join in with the festivities and activities taking place for the landmark anniversary. This included tucking into celebratory Tracey Flick cupcakes inspired by Reese Witherspoon comedy film Election.
Movie fans were also encouraged to get into the spirit of 1999, by coming dressed as their favourite film character, with on the spot prizes given out to the best dressed.
