Spooky December horror with Victor Frankenstein and Krampus

Enjoy a double dose of spine-tingling fear in Cineworld with these unmissable horror movies. Looking for a spooky alternative to the usual Christmas cheer? You've come to the right place...

Victor Frankenstein

What's the story? Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy headline this clever reinvention of a horror classic.

Told from the perspective of Igor, Victor Frankenstein's young assistant, this is a thrilling revisionist take on Mary Shelley's horror classic.

Daniel Radcliffe headlines as Igor, with James McAvoy as the radical, peer-defying scientist, Victor Frankenstein. Both believe their unorthodox experiments will one day aid humanity, but are their science dabblings close to creating something truly great... or truly monstrous?

This ingenious reinvention of the nearly 200-year-old story is written by Max Landis, son of horror director legend John Landis, and directed by Paul McGuigan, whose TV credits include Sherlock and Scandal.

Victor Frankenstein is released on 4th December. Check out the trailer.

Krampus

What's the story? It's looking more like a red Christmas than a white one in this festive horror-comedy.

When Max is forced to spend Christmas with his warring family, his antipathy towards the festive season unintentionally unleashes a monster named Krampus.

A demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers, the creature invades the family's house as all hell breaks loose and Christmas takes on a bloody new meaning...

Inspired by the German legend of Krampus, a half-goat, half-demon beast who punishes non-believers, this imaginative horror-comedy comes from writer/director Michael Dougherty, who made a strong impression with his cult 2007 horror, Trick 'r Treat.

Says Dougherty: "He's not the unstoppable monster that kicks down your door and rampages and grabs you. There's something darkly playful about him. He's having a good time doing what he does and he enjoys the cat-and-mouse aspect of it."

Krampus is unleashed on 4th December. Take a look at the trailer – if you dare!
