It's official: 2019 is the year of film, and Cineworld Unlimited members know it too. In fact, we noticed that some Unlimited members set themselves the challenge to make full use of their Unlimited cards by seeing 100 movies in 2019.
So we thought we’d show you just how easy it is to complete the #100FilmsIn2019 challenge by listing just 100 of the epic movies heading your way this year. From comic book

- 36. Pet Sematary – Stephen King's famously chilling novel was first
adapted back in the 1980s, and now gets a slick makeover courtesy of directors Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer. Shot by Ben Wheatley's regular cinematographer Laurie Rose and starring Jason Clarke and John Lithgow, this is a petrifying story of evil from beyond the grave.
- 37. Shazam! – In recent years the films in the DC Extended Universe (
DCEU ) have finally learned to lighten up, the most recent example being Jason Momoa blockbuster Aquaman. The latest in the franchise, Shazam!, is poised to be the funniest and most lighthearted DCEU movie yet, as a young teenager discovers he can transform into a superhero upon saying his name.
- 38. Hellboy – It's not all about Marvel and DC in 2019. Dark Horse comic book hero Hellboy gets a slick and reportedly tougher remake courtesy of The Descent and Game of Thrones director Neil Marshall. Stranger Things' David Harbour takes over from the role's previous incumbent Ron Perlman, as the horned underworld superhero is drawn into a battle to save the human race.
- 39. Wonder Park – What if the amusement park of your dreams actually came to life? That's the premise of this 3D animated adventure from Nickelodeon, one featuring an all-star voice cast including Mila Kunis, Jennifer Garner
and Matthew Broderick. A 2019 TV series is also said to be in the making, which will be released after the movie.
- 40. Missing Link – Those stop-motion animation geniuses at Laika Studios (ParaNorman, Kubo and the Two Strings) are back with another visually dazzling and witty adventure. The Hangover's Zach Galifianakis voices mysterious yet loveable creature Mr Link, who acts as the missing connection between human and primate, while Hugh Jackman portrays the intrepid explorer who discovers him.
- 41. Red Joan – Forget everything you think you know about movie spies including the likes of James Bond and Jason Bourne. Because here comes British acting royalty Judi Dench in the true story of Joan Stanley, the OAP who was exposed as the KGB's
longest serving British spy. The movie flashes back and forth between the older Joan and her younger self, played by Kingsman's Sophie Cookson.
- 42. Avengers: Endgame – One of the biggest movies of 2019 is poised to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever. Picking up after the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, this gargantuan blockbuster finds our Avengers scattered, divided and at their
wits' end – can they defeat the evil Thanos (Josh Brolin) for good? We're feverishly awaiting the answers, all the while anticipating Captain Marvel's entrance into the Avengers fold...
- 43. Loro – Celebrated Italian director Paolo Sorrentino, whose 2013 Rome-set epic The Great Beauty won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, is back with another sumptuous feast for the senses. Adapting the controversial and lurid history of former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, Sorrentino is set to make his most provocative movie yet, as he re-teams with actor Toni Servillo.
- 44. Little – What happens when you reverse the premise of classic 1988 Tom Hanks movie Big? The answer is Little, the irreverent new comedy from the makers of 2017 smash hit Girls Trip. The latter movie's Regina Hall stars as a high-powered businesswoman who regresses into her younger self (Marsai Martin) when the pressures of adulthood become too much.
