Oppenheimer featurette explores the movie's remarkable A-list cast

Oppenheimer gathers together one of the best ensemble casts in recent years. Such is director Christopher Nolan's reputation that we get to enjoy Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Florence Pugh and Robert Downey Jr. all occupying the same movie. And the A-list names don't stop there: Kenneth Branagh, Gary Oldman, Tom Conti, Josh Hartnett, Benny Safdie, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Casey Affleck and David Dastmalchian also appear, adding formidable gravitas to the movie's narrative.

Murphy takes the lead as J. Robert Oppenheimer, the nuclear physicist who helped develop the atomic bomb and who played a key part in the secretive Manhattan Project. Nolan splits the difference between monochrome and colour cinematography, all handsomely captured on IMAX cameras by DP Hoyte van Hoytema, as the fall-out from Oppenheimer's atomic revelations stun the world and foreshadow a terrifying new age of weaponry.

There are few greater pleasures than watching an already compelling movie being elevated further by some of the finest actors in the business. Go behind the scenes of Oppenheimer's ensemble in the following featurette, discover which actors are playing famous, real-life individuals and hear what they have to say about Nolan's typically singular and commanding cinematic vision.
