The riveting French-language thriller The Night of the 12th explores the emotional fallout of a particularly gruesome crime. The film focuses on two detectives, one a veteran and the other a rookie, both of whom become consumed with catching an especially heinous murderer.

Very Fascinating and Shocking Movie at the same time. The story is similar to Zodiac and the film really makes you keep guessing on who is the killer. The story is very well written, the whole cast and crew did a superb job! Overall Score: 8.8/10! Grade: A! Well Done Everyone! 😁

really moving film - sobering how easy it is for these crimes to go unsolved, and horrible how endemic the problem of male violence against women is. showed the human toll on everyone, and how painful hope can be. gonna stay with me for a while.

I don’t think the film ever fully maximised the notion of a crime haunting a detective. To me it felt too melodramatic and monotoned, as the film never had a gritty edge to it. Thought the first 5 minutes showed such strong hope but it became a generic police procedural film.

I really enjoyed #TheNightOfThe12th! The actual murder was truly haunting and I thought Bastien Bouillon and Bouli Lanners were great! I'm surprised to see people found the ending a let down - I think certain promises were made in the opening and those promises were kept.
