Cineworlders saw American Fiction at our Secret Screening and here are the best reactions

Veteran actor Jeffrey Wright (Casino Royale; The Batman) is on top form in the sharp-witted comedy American Fiction. Based on the 2001 novel Erasure by Percival Everett, the film follows frustrated novelist-professor Thelonious 'Monk' Ellison (Wright) who writes an outlandishly stereotypical 'black' book as satire, only for the book to be published to high sales and praise.

The movie is the feature film debut of director Cord Jefferson and showcases a strong supporting cast including Sterling K. Brown (Waves). American Fiction has already opened to critical acclaim in America and has now received five Oscar nominations including Best Picture.

Before the movie opens in the UK it's played to eager Cineworld audiences as part of our Secret Screening. We've rounded up some of the best reactions.

If those responses have inspired you to watch American Fiction then catch it at Cineworld from February 2nd. Book your tickets via the link below.
