Jordan Peele and Daniel Kaluuya take us behind the scenes of Nope

"[Jordan Peele] has really grown as a filmmaker," raves Daniel Kaluuya about his new movie Nope. Considering that the director and star last collaborated to sensational effect on the Oscar-winning Get Out, that's a very exciting proposition.

Peele's new movie is shrouded in mystery. When two African-American Hollywood horse trainers become embroiled in apparent extraterrestrial activity, it unleashes terror on their isolated California community.

Since the release of Get Out Kaluuya has cemented himself as an Oscar winner in his own right (he won for Judas and the Black Messiah). Also thrown into the mix: Lightyear's Keke Palmer, The Walking Dead's Steven Yeun, The OA's Brandon Perea and The Crow's Michael Wincott.

The real selling point, naturally, is Jordan Peele himself. In the course of just two movies (acclaimed doppelganger chiller Us was released in 2019), he's cemented a uniquely satirical brand of horror movie that amuses and stimulates as much as it scares the bejesus out of us.

Unsurprisingly, we've got high hopes for Nope that practically reach into the stratosphere. Hear what Peele and Kaluuya have to say about the enigmatic new thriller in the following behind-the-scenes video.

Nope is released in Cineworld cinemas on 12th August.
