New horror releases at Cineworld this Halloween: Saw X and more

With Halloween creeping its way toward us, we've got horror movies on the brain, and undoubtedly you have too. Whether you're a gore-hound or a lover of supernaturally-inclined chillers, we've got all bases covered.

Saw X (released September 29th)

We're up for more games this Halloween, and we don't mean Cluedo. The fiendish John Kramer aka the Jigsaw Killer (Tobin Bell) is back in a movie that dramatises his twisted and grisly origins.

At the same time, we're introduced to a clutch of hapless new victims who will have to risk life and multiple limbs to escape from Jigsaw's latest traps. You can also expect the return of a certain maniacal Amanda (Shawnee Smith)...

The Exorcist: Believer (released October 6th)

The late William Friedkin sculpted the original Exorcist into one of horror cinema's most notorious and lingering creations. The legacy of Friedkin's film, adapted by William Peter Blatty from his own novel, now extends its malign influence into the sequel The Exorcist: Believer.

Halloween filmmakers David Gordon Green and Jason Blum bring us another story of horrific possession as two young girls find themselves in thrall to a hideous demon. It falls to the original movie's stalwart Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn) to help save the souls of the two children.

It Lives Inside (released October 20th)

The terrifying legend of the Pishach, a flesh-eating demon from Hindu and Buddhist mythology, promises to scare up a storm this Halloween. When a young girl suspects her friend is possessed by the entity, she must reconcile with her Indian heritage to defeat the monster.

Five Nights at Freddy's (released October 25th)

Gaming sensation Five Nights at Freddy's made a virtue of its point-and-click suspense and sudden jump scares. The franchise's creepy mythology is now translated into a feature film, as Josh Hutcherson's unsuspecting security guard uncovers the secrets of the dilapidated Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.

Get ready for the cinematic debut of the monstrous Freddy and his hideous animatronic pals including Chica, Bonnie and Foxy.
