A new image has been released from Mission: Impossible 7, and Tom Cruise is back doing what he does best: running like hell. His reckless IMF (Impossible Mission Force) agent Ethan Hunt is once again plunged into a world-saving mission, orchestrated by Rogue Nation and Fallout filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie.
The moody snapshot was shared on McQuarrie's own Instagram channel – does it tease an especially dark adventure for the daredevil Ethan?
Plenty of dazzling set-pieces have been teased on social media over the last few months, including a hair-raising bike plunge off a cliff in Norway, and a fight on top of a train, also in Norway. Naturally, Cruise is the one throwing himself into the action, giving insurance agents the world over a fit of the jitters. It's also been confirmed that the seventh movie will not, in fact, be shot back to back with Mission: Impossible 8, owing to COVID-19 delays.
Mission: Impossible 7 reinstates many familiar cast members including Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett and Henry Czerny (the last of whom reprises his role as Kittridge from 1996's Mission: Impossible). New faces include Hayley Atwell (pictured below), Pom Klementieff and Esai Morales.
Mission: Impossible 7 is due for release on 19th November 2021.
