Dumb Money (screening 18th September)

I, Tonya and Cruella helmer Craig Gillespie returns with this topical and lively account of 2021's GameStop short squeeze. The official synopsis is as follows:

"Based on the true story of a group of rag-tag investors from the Reddit page called r/WallStreetBets, who banded together to put the squeeze on at least two hedge funds that had bet that GameStop shares would fall."

The excellent cast gathers the likes of Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, America Ferrara, Pete Davidson, Anthony Ramos and Nick Offerman. Scroll down to book your tickets and watch the trailer.

Blackberry (screening 2nd October)

Blackberry is the blackly comic and jaw-dropping account of the creation of the Blackberry. The story behind the famous handheld device is laced with equal parts ambition and hubris, centering on the triangular relationship between Mike Lazaridis, Douglas Fregin and Jim Balsillie.

Trace the Blackberry team members from their money-making rise to their inevitable downfall, the cast including the likes of Jay Baruchel, Cary Elwes and Michael Ironside. Book your tickets on the link below.
