A remake of the 1947 Danny Kaye classic, the film's director/star Ben Stiller steps into Kaye’s shoes as the mild-mannered office drone who escapes from the humdrum grind of his daily life by daydreaming himself into extraordinary situations.
“There is so much potential for a film in terms of a life someone lives in their head,” says Stiller. “And also the iconic idea of a guy who is just a daydreamer. I found it amazing that there's this two-and-a-half page story that has become such a part of our culture.”
