Watch acclaimed black comedy The Party at selected Cineworlds

If you’re in the mood for something different at Cineworld, then you'll certainly want to check out The Party, the highly anticipated new film from writer-director Sally Potter (Ginger & Rosa, Orlando).

Unfolding in real time in a house in London in the present day, the movie tells the story of Janet (Kristin Scott Thomas), an ambitious politician who has just been appointed Shadow Minister for Health. Together with her husband Bill (Timothy Spall) they invite round some friends to celebrate, but the party takes an unexpected turn when Bill suddenly makes some explosive revelations that take everyone present by surprise. Love, friendships and political convictions are soon called into question in this razor-sharp black comedy.

Also starring Cillian Murphy, Emily Mortimer and Cherry Jones, this critically acclaimed movie is being shown in selected Cineworlds as part of the London Film Festival.
