Cineworld announces Scotland's first IMAX with Laser at Glasgow Silverburn

We've got some very exciting news for all Cineworlders and movie fans in Scotland. The country's first-ever IMAX with Laser is opening at Glasgow Silverburn this October.

When is IMAX with Laser opening at Glasgow Silverburn?

Cineworld Glasgow Silverburn will open the first IMAX with Laser in Scotland to the public on October 14.

What is IMAX with Laser?

IMAX with Laser delivers stunning images and powerful, immersive audio to transport audiences into blockbuster films like never before.

The experience is set apart by its next-generation 4K laser projection system, resulting in crystal clear IMAX laser projection, increased resolution and deeper contrast displaying the most distinct, exotic colours ever available on-screen.

This new experience also features IMAX’s exclusive 12-channel sound technology with new side and overhead channels added to deliver greater dynamic range and precision with more sound than ever before.

IMAX with Laser is opening at Cineworld Silverburn in time for autumn's biggest blockbusters. This includes Dwayne Johnson's live-action DC debut in the explosive Black Adam, in which he portrays the vengeful DC demi-god drafted in to bring down an even more powerful enemy.

The movie will harness the full potential of IMAX with Laser in its sophisticated CG action sequences and all-encompassing sound design.

What else can I expect from the Glasgow Silverburn experience?

Our thrilling new IMAX with Laser auditorium is in addition to the 14 existing screens at Glasgow Silverburn.

The cinema is situated in the Silverburn shopping centre, allowing movie fans to enjoy pre-film treats in the form of delicious Baskin Robbins and Starbucks.
