Cineworld's best A-list interview moments from 2023

We've been treated to some truly memorable blockbusters over the last 12 months, from comic book reboots to darkly humourous extravaganzas.

Of course, that also means a lot of accompanying interviews from Hollywood's best and brightest. There were so many great interviews that it was hard to choose our best ones. 

Nevertheless, we've rounded up a selection of remarkable talent who sat down to chat with Cineworld.

The great man himself, Keanu Reeves, put a pause on throwing people down the Sacre Coeur steps to attend Cineworld's glitzy London premiere of John Wick: Chapter 4. More fuel to the fire that he's one of the nicest people in Hollywood.


3. Pearl director Ti West on what it took to get that performance out of Mia Goth

Director Ti West's X prequel Pearl acts as the twisted meeting point between the Technicolor wonder of  The Wizard of Oz and the grisly gore of a slasher movie. It's anchored by a sensational Mia Goth, here portraying the younger iteration of her X character Pearl, and we caught up with Ti to talk about their collaboration.

4. Chris Pratt and Charlie Day impersonate Super Mario Bros co-star Jack Black

The voices behind Super Mario and Luigi, Chris Pratt and Charlie Day, aren't just adept at voicing Nintendo icons. They can also do a more than passable impression of Bowser voice actor Jack Black – watch the hilarious results in our video clip.


5. Russell Crowe talks The Pope's Exorcist

The Oscar-winning star of Gladiator, Russell Crowe, opens up on his rare excursion into horror in possession chiller The Pope's Exorcist.

7. Daniel Kaluuya gets into his Spider-Verse character Hobie Brown

We loved the inclusion of Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk in this year's psychedelic comic book onslaught Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. So, we caught up with the Oscar-winning actor to discuss the process behind voicing the character.


8. No Hard Feelings star Andrew Barth Feldman breaks out his musical skills

Not just a hilarious straight man opposite Jennifer Lawrence, rising star Andrew is also a dab hand at tinkling on the ivories. In No Hard Feelings, we see him performing a romantic piano rendition of 'Maneater', so we thought we'd bring a keyboard along for our interview. Here's what happened.


9. Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie get elemental about Elemental

12. Margot Robbie and the Barbie cast bring the 'Ken-ergy' to Cineworld Leicester Square

Who remembers the heyday of 'Barbenheimer' back in the summer? One of the media sensation's leading lights, Margot Robbie, brought the Barbie movie to our flagship Cineworld cinema – and, true to form, we rolled out the pink, not the red, carpet.


13. Talk to Me directors Danny and Michael Philippou on falling in love with horror

Who would have thought that the directors of one of this year's scariest movies would be so hilarious? We had a grand time catching up with the Australian Philippou siblings (aka YouTubers RackaRacka) about their bone-chilling feature film debut Talk To Me.

14. Gran Turismo star Archie Madekwe meets real-life inspiration Jann Mardenborough

Full-throttle gaming adaptation Gran Turismo is also a translation of racer Jann Mardenborough's rise to automotive fame. We paired Jann with his on-screen avatar, actor Archie Madekwe, to talk all things racing.


15. The Creator director Gareth Edwards gets candid about artificial intelligence

Sci-fi epic The Creator takes place in a futuristic world that has been riven by the pervasive presence of A.I. Is this what the future holds for mankind in reality? We asked the film's director, Gareth Edwards, for his thoughts as to whether A.I. is a thing to be embraced or feared.


16. Sumotherhood's Adam Deacon plays 'Who's More Likely To...'

Raucous British comedy Sumotherhood marks Adam Deacon's return to cinema screens. The actor/director/comedian brings the click clack energy to our Cineworld interview.


17. Bottoms director Emma Seligman on breaking the mold with a women's fight club comedy

Bottoms is one of the year's most eccentric, singular and enjoyable comedies, powered as much by the need for equality as it is by the entertainment value of smashed noses and bruised limbs. We caught up with its breakout indie director Emma Seligman to find out more.
