Cineworld Unlimited screenings: book now for Saint Maud and Pixie this October

For the first time since the start of the year, we're delighted to be bringing you not one, but two, Cineworld Unlimited preview screenings. Your patience is about to be paid off with advance showings of critically acclaimed psychological horror Saint Maud, and crime-comedy Pixie.

First up is Saint Maud, which screens on 5th October. David Copperfield star Morfydd Clarke gives a memorably unnerving performance as convalescent nurse Maud, a young woman with a dark past. When she agrees to assist ailing former dancer Amanda (Contagion's Jennifer Ehle), sinister mind-games ensue, and more besides. Maud becomes convinced that she is destined to save her patient's soul – but will this crusade come at a price?

Saint Maud is the debut feature film from Rose Glass, and is cloaked in arresting layers of shadow and suggestion. The film channels horror classics such as Carrie and The Omen to worm its way under your skin, and it's already exerted this impact on critics. Rotten Tomatoes gives its verdict: "A brilliantly unsettling blend of body horror and psychological thriller, Saint Maud marks an impressive debut for writer-director Rose Glass."

Guns, gags and gangster priests... new British comedy thriller Pixie has it all. And Cineworld Unlimited members can see the hilarious action unfold 10 days before the film goes on general release at our next Unlimited screening on 13th October.

Directed by Barnaby Thompson (St Trinian's), Pixie sees a group of friends being chased across the Irish countryside by armed clergymen after a heist they attempt to carry out goes badly wrong. With a superb cast that includes Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One), Ben Hardy (Bohemian Rhapsody), Alec Baldwin, Colm Meaney and Dylan Moran, plus twists, turns, action and laughs galore, this is one film that you don't want to miss.
