The sports biopic of Prince Naseem “Naz” Hamed is coming to Cineworld in 2026, but Unlimited members got to watch an advanced screening last night.

Starring Amir El-Masry as the world champion British-Yemeni boxer and Pierce Brosnan as his trainer, Brendan Ingle, Giant charts the humble beginnings of Naz’s career and the intimate behind the scenes moments.

Naz has always been a character, described as being incredibly cocky, as well as showing great flare in his showmanship inside the boxing ring. And Amir El-Masry captures that persona perfectly.

As Peter pointed out, El-Masry really captured Naz’s swagger. And Brosnan wasn’t half bad either.

Marc agrees, giving another nod to the former 007 secret agent.

Steve, Samantha, and Sean also thoroughly enjoyed Giant. Honestly, what better way to spend your evening than a couple of hours, sat in the dark, being thoroughly entertained.

Whether you’re familiar with Prince Naseem Hamed’s story or not, Giant is a great gateway into this iconic British boxing star – no matter if you leave the cinema loving or hating him.

Over on Letterboxd, Cineworld Unlimited members were equally as impressed with the strong performances in Giant. Rhys said:

Jamie compared Giant to the Rocky series. We can practically hear the theme in our heads. You know the one.

And we totally agree with Rey. Those leopard print shorts of Naz's were everything. And we always think there's room for more.
