From the World of John Wick: Ballerina (June 6)

Set between the timelines of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4 comes a new assassin prodigy looking to exact revenge on the people who killed her family in From the World of John Wick: Ballerina. Starring Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, she is a Russian ballerina turned assassin who begins her training with the Ruska Roma.

How to Train Your Dragon (June 9)

Dreamworks are giving the live action treatment to its beloved How to Train Your Dragon animation. One of the titles releasing this month that's Filmed for IMAX (F1 is the other one), How to Train Your Dragon tells the story of how the son of a Viking chief, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, befriends a Night Fury dragon, Toothless, and attempts to break a longheld tradition of fighting between the two. Voiced by Mason Thames, Gerard Butler portrays his father, Chief Stoick the Vast.

 

 

Tornado (June 13)

A lesser talked about release, Tornado is a period action drama starring Kōki, Jack Lowden, Takehiro Hira, and Tim Roth, and follows as things turn contentious between ruthless British criminals and a travelling Samurai show in 1790 Britain. Kōki stars as Tornado, a performer who sets out to fight back against the barbaric criminals hunting her.

 

 

28 Years Later (June 19)

Now with less than 28 days to go until Danny Boyle returns with the third instalment of the postapoclyptic franchise, 28 Years Later continues the story with a star-studded line-up in its cast. Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Ralph Fiennes set out to explore the land ravaged by zombies after spending years siloed away on their protected island. Elio (June 20)

After something feel good you can watch with all the family? Pixar returns with its latest adorable release, Elio. A boy, Elio, struggles to fit in with his peers and wishes to be abducted by aliens. Only, then it actually happens, chosen by the aliens to be Earth's galactic ambassdor. A family affair, his mum Olga also gets involved in this universe-expanding adventure.

 

 

F1 (June 25)

How does this grab you? Formula One featuring Brad Pitt. Even if you don't consider yourself an "F1 girlie", the sheer scale of this project is pretty exciting. Another title Filmed for IMAX, it's guranteed to be visually stunning, and BP is involved! A fictional story of a Formula One driver, Sonny Hayes was at the top of his game racing in the 90s. Following a horrible crash, he's forced to retire. Years later, he's asked to come out of retirement and train a young prodigy, Joshua "Noa" Pearce, played by Damson Idris.

M3GAN 2.0 (June 27)

Do you like your horror movies topical? Set two years after the events of the first movie, roboticist Gemma is now an advocate for regulation of artificial intelligence. Where is M3GAN? Locked away in a doll who seems to be harmless. Obviously, that's not the case. Her technology falls into the wrong hands and a military robot, Amelia, is created, only to become self-aware and, you guessed it, turn on her creators. It's what we all fear from Alexa, isn't it?
