Brand new trailers that have just dropped

The Mandalorian & Grogu (22nd May)

Acting as both a return to cinemas for the Star Wars franchise and a sequel to the acclaimed TV show, the excitement for The Mandalorian and Grogu is reaching a fever pitch ahead of release but this final trailer does it justice.

There’s so much to take away from this last sneak peek into what the film entails. Not only are we seeing plenty of nods to the show, including Grogu wearing his Beskar suit of armour, but it seems as though the stakes will be a lot higher in this new adventure. To make sure nothing is spoiled, you’ll want to be there on opening weekend to see what the blaster and force-wielding duo are up against.

Coyote vs Acme (28th August)

This film almost didn't see the light of day but thanks to some serious pushback from the Looney Tunes fandom worldwide, Coyote vs Acme is on the way and its very first trailer is here. Admittedly, the idea of Wile E Coyote suing Acme for years of lacklustre products sounds wild on paper, but this first look shows us the comedy gold that can come from it.

There’s so much going on this trailer that it’s hard to know where to start, although the fact that John Cena is playing the Acme Corporation’s lawyer is an inspired bit of casting. The mix of cartoons and live action very much feels like a nod to Looney Tunes films of old (any fans for Looney Tunes: Back in Action out there?), and we can’t wait to see where the concept takes us. Will Wile E finally get a win? Find out when Coyote vs Acme premieres in August.

Jackass: Best and Last (26th June)

The Jackass crew have been entertaining audiences worldwide with their unique brand of asinine stunts since the 90s, but now they’re back for one last hurrah, capping off an eclectic career with a look back at their best stunts, as well as a handful of new ones that are sure to have you watching the screen through your fingers.

It’s hard not to get a bit teary-eyed watching this trailer as it’s a reminder of the enduring camaraderie of the gang that has made spending time with them so much fun. As a trip down memory lane and one final chance to enjoy all-new stunts thought up by Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius and the rest of the cast, make sure to experience Jackass: Best and Last in a packed cinema with your buddies.

Hokum (1st May)

A disturbing horror set in the remote Irish countryside and starring none other than Adam Scott? Sign us up! Hokum looks to be another solid entry in the recent string of horror hits, particularly as it comes from the producer of Weapons and Barbarian, and now that we’ve seen what Adam Scott can do in a dramatic role thanks to Severance, we can’t wait to see how his star quality gets applied to this genre.

Without spoiling too much, Hokum follows author Ohm Bauman (played by Scott) who travels to a remote part of Ireland to scatter the ashes of his parents. During the trip, Ohm becomes distracted by a room in a hotel that’s supposedly haunted by a witch. As the trailer shows, any attempts to warn Ohm of what’s inside the room go unheeded, and before long he finds himself drawn into a world of demons and monsters.

Mortal Kombat II (8th May)

Get over here! There are not one but two screen adaptations of classic fighting games coming to cinemas this year, but the first to our screens is none other than Mortal Kombat II which promises even more blood and carnage than the first film. Although the film has plenty of returning characters from the previous chapter including Sonya Blade, Liu Kang and  Scorpion, the real allure of this sequel is the appearance of fan favourite Johnny Cage, played by none other than Karl Urban.

As if that casting choice wasn’t enough to get you straight down your local Cineworld, this latest trailer will do the trick. As soon as the iconic theme song kicks in, you know you’re in for a good time with a film that’ll do the original game, and the series as a whole, justice. There’s even a glimpse right at the end of the type of blood-soaked fights in store, making this one fight to the death that you won’t want to miss.

Street Fighter (16th October)

Just a few months after Mortal Kombat II, we’ll be treated to another action-packed adaptation in Street Fighter, and although we’ve only had snippets and teasers to go on thus far, the film’s very first trailer shows just what kind of carnage awaits audiences in October. Although some video game adaptations try to inject a bit of realism to make storylines more palatable for a wider audience, Street Fighter seems to be doubling down on the absurdity of its source material and we are here for it.

This trailer has everything from neon-soaked fights to classic character moves including Ken’s righteous uppercut and Ryu’s fiery hadouken. The fact that the film appears to understand its source material incredibly well will make it a must-watch for fans of the games, whilst the cast list including Cody Rhodes, 50 Cent and Eric André is just too good for newcomers to miss.

Latest trailers for upcoming releases this year

Supergirl (26th June)

This is one for the hot mess girlies. A contrast to the seemingly perfect and clean cut Superman, James Gunn's DC Universe is expanding with Milly Alcock as Supergirl. Dune: Part Three (17th December)

The conclusion to Denis Villeneuve's Dune trilogy comes at the end of the year, and the first trailer for Dune: Part Three revealed plenty of surprises. Masters of the Universe (5th June)

There's a new hero on the block (sort of) based on Mattel's franchise of the same name. Nicholas Galitzine returns to our screens in a different light (currently starring in 100 Nights of Hero) as Prince Adam Glenn, otherwise known as He-Man. This sword sorcery film sees Adam spirited away from his wartorn home to his mother's home planet, Earth, at ten years old. Now all grown up, he is set to return to Eternia and claim his birthright.

Michael (22nd April)

We know we're in safe hands with Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King bringing to the silver screen a biopic of the King of Pop himself. Michael stars Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson's newphew, as the legendary muscian, and the latest trailer finally gives us a sneak peak at his voice, which sounds eerily like his late uncle's. One thing is for sure, this is sure to be a talked about title!

Toy Story 5 (19th June)

It's not just us adults that are having their attention span ruined by screens (we only mean the small kind, the cinema obviously doesn't count), kids are also being put on screen time limits left, right, and centre. And Toy Story is finally address the elephant in the room with the somewhat unexpected release of Toy Story 5 next summer. Did we all think our time with Woody and Buzz was done after Toy Story 4? Sure, but we're more than happy to be returning to Bonnie's bedroom, where the age of toys might well be over... The first teaser trailer has dropped, and no one does it like Pixar!

The Odyssey (17th July)

And we've finally got the first heart-stoppingly good trailer.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (20th November)

With Wicked all done and dusted this year, Lionsgate is swooping in and taking its slot in the movie release slate with The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Suzanne Collins has clearly been working closely with Lionsgate for another prequel of the original The Hunger Games trilogy, given Sunrise on the Reaping only came out in book form in March 2025. But its movie adaptation is hot on its heels, telling the backstory of the beloved Haymitch and his experience in the Second Quarter Quell. The cast for this is outstanding. They really nailed the likedness in younger versions of the likes of Haymitch, Effie Trinket, Plutarch, and President Snow. And you can watch the first Sunrise on the Reaping trailer below.

Avengers: Doomsday (18th December)

From Cyclops getting the recognition he deserves to Steve Rogers and Thor both becoming parents, Marvel Studios has been drip feeding teaser trailers over the last couple of weeks – and we're so ready for this giant ensemble of superheroes to hit the big screen on 18th December.
