Legendary director Steven Spielberg and Forrest Gump star Tom Hanks reunite for dramatic Cold War thriller Bridge of Spies. Co-written by the esteemed Coen Brothers, this is the story of the tense negotiations between an all-American insurance lawyer and Russian forces, as a convicted Soviet spy is offered in exchange for a downed American pilot. After something a bit more family-friendly? Then check out The Good Dinosaur, the latest movie from Inside Out visionaries Pixar. This heartwarming story of friendship plays out against an alternate prehistoric landscape in which humans and dinosaurs and living alongside one another.


Also out this week: critically acclaimed romantic drama Carol. Already heralded as one of the year's finest films, this story of a forbidden romance between two women is adapted from Patricia Highsmith's novel and features outstanding performances from Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara.


And then Johnny Depp disappears into yet another memorable role in Black Mass. This gritty gangster thriller stars Depp as notorious Boston mobster Whitey Bulger, in a story of his dark dealings with the FBI. Joel Edgerton and Benedict Cumberbatch are among the impressive cast – check out the trailer.
