Noah heartthrob Logan Lerman on the "epic" Biblical barnstormer

He's won legions of fans by headlining the Percy Jackson teen fantasy franchise. And now Logan Lerman is set to send more hearts aflutter with his role in Darren Aronofsky's Noah, a big-budget take on the Biblical story.

Logan plays the son of the eponymous Noah (Russell Crowe), and is one of those who must be saved from the apocalyptic flood that will devastate the Earth.

At the film's Berlin premiere, Logan raved about working with Black Swan visionary Aronofsky. "I would follow him anywhere," says the young actor of the director. "I would say he's one of the greatest directors alive – actually ever... To work with him was an honour."

The film reunites Logan not only with his 3:10 to Yuma co-star Crowe but also Emma Watson, with whom he made a charming pairing in 2012 indie hit The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Noah is of course a different kettle of fish (or a different ark full of animals) from both Yuma and Wallflower – so in Logan's words what can we expect?

"It's really fun, it's really entertaining and thought-provoking for a huge movie," he says. "I think people who'll see it will really like it."

Are you a professed 'Lermaniac' who's looking forward to watching the young heartthrob in Noah? If so, share your love here on the blog.

Noah opens on 28 March.
