The Matrix Resurrections teases first trailer arrival on 9th September

Will you take the red pill or the blue pill? This is the tantalising question that faces all Matrix fans ahead of the first trailer for The Matrix Resurrections. We're due to get the trailer for the fourth Matrix movie at 2PM on Thursday 9th September, and a nifty little interactive widget has been launched to get people primed.

By clicking either the red pill or the blue pill here, you are presented with different options. But whichever you choose, the results are intriguing, teasing the return of Keanu Reeves as Neo and a shaven-headed Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Candyman) who may, or may not, be playing a young Morpheus.

The Matrix Resurrections is directed by Lana Wachowski, and features a returning Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity. The remaining cast members include Jada Pinkett-Smith (back as Niobe), Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Christina Ricci.

The Matrix Resurrections is scheduled for release on 22nd December 2021.
