Exclusive interview: Awkwafina and Ken Jeong talk Crazy Rich Asians

No ordinary rom-com, box office hit Crazy Rich Asians explodes onto the screen in a riot of opulence, humour and energy.

Adapted from Kevin Kwan's bestseller, it showcases Hollywood's first all-Asian cast for 25 years. It's the story of New York economics professor Rachel (Constance Wu) who comes face to face with boyfriend Nick's (Henry Golding) extravagantly wealthy Singaporean family.

Gilded with eye-popping spectacle, the movie showcases a memorable supporting cast including Michelle Yeoh as Nick's fearsome mother Eleanor, against whom Rachel finds herself pitted.

Two of the film's most delightful stars are rapper-turned-actor Awkwafina (recently seen in Ocean's 8) and Community's Ken Jeong, playing Rachel's BFF Goh Peik Lin and Lin's father, respectively. We were delighted to catch up with them to discuss the essential tips to playing a scene-stealing sidekick and what other Hollywood movie genres could use a dose of the all-Asian invasion. Check it out below.
