Women Talking: discover the true story behind the Oscar contending movie

A powerhouse cast leads the must-see 2023 release, Women Talking. Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley (Men) joins BAFTA-nominee Claire Foy (First Man) and two-time Oscar nominee Rooney Mara (Carol) for an urgent story that demands your attention.

Women Talking is produced by three-time Oscar winner Frances McDormand (also appearing in the movie), who unites with acclaimed indie director Sarah Polley (Oscar-nominated for Away From Her) for an adaptation of Miriam Loews' book.

The movie focuses on an isolated modern-day female Mennonite community that must grapple with a horrific revelation that threatens to tear their bonds of unity apart. Produced via Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment label (also responsible for the Oscar-winning likes of Moonlight), it's a drama that places a clutch of fine actors (including Paddington's Ben Whishaw) at the helm of topical, harrowing subject matter.

Women Talking has been acclaimed by US critics. Variety reviewer Peter Debruge labelled it as a "powerful act of nonviolent protest", adding that "whatever you make of the experience, it's a thrill to see a woman of Polley's intuition pushing the language of cinema once again".

Go behind the scenes in the following video and discover why Women Talking is an Oscar contender that you can't miss. The movie is released in the UK on February 10, 2023.
