Horror specialists Blumhouse have brought gaming sensation Five Nights at Freddy's to the big screen. As part of our Horror Season, prepare to meet the hideous Freddy Fazbear and his animatronic pals in their movie debut, which comes from director Emma Tami, producer Jason Blum and game creator Scott Cawthon who contributed to the screenplay.
The movie stars Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) as an unsuspecting security guard who takes on the night shift role at the supposedly haunted Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. When he settles in, our central character discovers that the creepy animatronic exhibits, led by the eponymous Freddy, appear to have a life of their own...
Gaming fans can revel in the exact details from Freddy's design to the familiar emphasis on CCTV footage that may or may not expose horrific secrets. Newcomers, meanwhile, can settle in for a popcorn-flying experience that's perfect for Halloween.
