Dungeons and Dragons casts a spell over local Cineworld cinemas

Magical fantasy-adventure Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves certainly cast its spell over Cineworld audiences during the weekend. And the magic may also have crept into Cineworld cinemas across the country...

To celebrate the release of the spirited and entertaining new blockbuster, starring Chris Pine and Hugh Grant, our staff members went full D&D with costumes and props galore. We've rounded up a few choice highlights, starting with a familiar treasure chest monster at Cineworld Bolton that's actively guarding our Cineworld gift range.

At our flagship cinema, Cineworld Leicester Square, the famous steps were adorned by D&D cos-players getting into the spirit of the movie.

At Cineworld Boldon, we decided to roll the dice and see if any D&D aficionados were ready to spot the Easter Eggs, both in the foyer and in the film itself.

And at Cineworld Wakefield, this awesome scale model of the movie's skeletal dragon was ready to welcome audiences into the auditorium.

How about some awesome video content? In the spirit of Chris Pine's character Edgin the Bard, here's a clip of some D&D-authentic live music being performed at Cineworld Newport Spytty Park.

This clip from Cineworld Isle of Wight unlocks some proper costume potential with helmets, swords, chainmail and more making a vivid impression in the cinema foyer.

And finally, staff members at Cineworld Brighton are about to discover the full implications of casting a mysterious spell while sitting around a campfire...
