Exclusive interview: we chat to Adrift director Baltasar Kormákur

Adrift documents the incredible true story of two young adventurers played by Shailene Woodley (Big Little Lies) and Sam Claflin (Me Before You), whose chance encounter leads them first to love and then to a fight for survival.

Setting off on the journey of a lifetime across the Pacific Ocean, Tami Oldham (Woodley) and Richard Sharp (Claflin) are pushed to their limits as they sail directly into one of the most catastrophic storms in recorded history.

With Richard badly injured and no hope for rescue, novice sailor Tami must find the strength and determination to save herself and the only man she has ever loved.

Last week we brought you an exclusive interview with its stars. This week, we've got insight from the film's director, Baltasar Kormákur (The Oath, Everest). We sat down with him to get the lowdown on this breathless story about the resilience of the human spirit and the remarkable power of love.
