Michael B. Jordan releases Creed III posters and we're seriously amped

We're flying now with the reveal of the Creed III poster. Star and director Michael B. Jordan takes pride of place as the returning Adonis 'Donnie' Creed, and he's pitted against Jonathan Majors' pugilist Anderson Dame.

Here are the posters of the respective characters, which promise an expansion of the Creed/Rocky mythology and a hard-hitting big-screen experience.

As mentioned, Jordan steps behind the camera for the first time. Having commandeered the role of Donnie in Creeds I and II, Jordan now attains greater creative control in the third instalment of the character's ongoing journey.

The story was conceived by original Creed director Ryan Coogler (soon to bring us Marvel's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, due out on November 11). The presence of the increasingly impressive Jonathan Majors, now cemented as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is another reason to be very excited.

You may be wondering: where's Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa? The creator of the Rocky franchise has opted to sit out the latest Creed movie, although Tessa Thompson returns as Donnie's partner Bianca and Florian Munteanu is back from Creed II as Viktor Drago, son of Rocky's nemesis Ivan (Dolph Lundgren, who's nowhere to be seen in this movie).

Jordan has proven to be a charismatic and powerful anchoring point in the ongoing Creed saga and we can't wait to see where the series goes next. Creed III is released on March 3, 2023.

There's no trailer yet, so stay tuned to the blog for its arrival.
