Mid90s: discover the reactions from the Cineworld Unlimited screening

Last night saw our Cineworld Unlimited screening of Jonah Hill's directorial debut Mid90s. The star of Superbad and The Wolf of Wall Street turns film-maker for a semi-autobiographical account of a 13-year-old Los Angeles teenager, and the skateboarding collective whom he comes to adopt as his surrogate family.

So what's the response to the movie? Declan McKinney says its a triumphant debut feature for Hill, praising the film's authenticity.

Gary lauds the movie for hitting hard when it needs to.

Henry Peters compliments the lead performance of Sunny Suljic, something of a rising star having appeared in last year's The House With a Clock in its Walls.

William Kennedy says the movie is honest and truthful, which makes for a powerful watch.

Austerity Gamer says that in terms of its depiction of the 1990s, the film takes on the blockbuster competition – and wins.

On the other hand, James Stewart (no, not that one) says Hill's relative inexperience shows – fingers crossed for the next film.

Were you at last night's screening? If so, tweet us your responses @Cineworld and using #CineworldUnlimited. And for those who can't wait to see the movie again, Mid90s is released on 12th April.

And the good news is your Unlimited screenings don't stop there. Soaring into action on 27th March is DC superhero movie Shazam!, which has already been acclaimed by critics as one of the studio's brightest and most entertaining offerings.

Disney star Asher Angel stars as orphan teenager Billy Batson who is granted the ability to transform into the eponymous superhero. Said character manifests in the caped, muscly and goofy form of Zachary Levi, who helps steer the movie away from the portent and murk of previous DC movies like Batman vs Superman.

Co-starring IT's Jack Dylan Grazer and Kick-Ass's Mark Strong, and directed by Annabelle: Creation film-maker David F. Sandberg, this breezy and uplifting comic book adventure is not to be missed.
