New Thanksgiving trailer cooks up grisly seasonal horror from director Eli Roth

Splatterific horror filmmaker Eli Roth (Hostel) is back and in suitably depraved form with his new shocker Thanksgiving. The movie, adapted from Roth's fake Grindhouse trailer, is showing as part of our Horror Season and reminds us that memorably grisly carnage can be unleashed at even the most wholesome time of the year.

A masked madman (who looks a bit like V from V for Vendetta) is on the rampage in a quintessential American town during the Thanksgiving season. The area is haunted by a Black Friday tragedy that happened years earlier, and one senses the killer's connection to those events.

While families are stuffing turkeys, our mysterious psycho is stuffing people into ovens and generally getting a little axe-happy. It's up to a small group of friends to get to the bottom of the mystery before they become the next item on the deadly Thanksgiving list. Check out the new trailer.

If you're planning to feast on Thanksgiving's grisly delights, then note down the release date of November 17th.
