Satirical comedy-slasher The Blackening presents us with a provocative question: why is it that characters of colour always die in horror movies first? In this wicked mixture of humour and horror, a group of African-American friends struggles to identify who will become the first victim of a rampaging serial killer in their midst. Can they survive the night?

Really good! Some decent laughs, great characters, and ran through (with tongue firmly in cheek) pretty much every horror movie cliché! Scream meets Cabin In The Woods. Would definitely recommend 🍿

Plenty of laughs, thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Certainly has a mix of plenty of other horror movie moments put in for good measure, nice little twist as well. Overall lots of fun and I'll be heading to see it again.

Absolutely loved it. Found it extremely satirical and witty, best comedy of the year for sure. Each character gets their own unique moments and personalities. It feels like a love child to scream. The killer’s chase sequences were nail-hitting. A superb blend of horror and comedy

I actually enjoyed it, went in expecting just another meh horror movie and it surprised me. A lot of laughs, bits of suspense, overall just a fun movie.
