What is the story of Tiger 3?

Following the events of the movie Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Pathaan, Tiger and Zoya are framed as traitors by a revenge-seeking terrorist and they go on a life-threatening crusade to clear themselves and their family's name.

Tiger 3 is the fifth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe that started with Ek Tha Tiger, released in 2012. Tiger Zinda Hai, released in 2017, was a direct sequel to that movie. In-between, the other two movies in the series have encompassed War, released in 2019 and starring Hrithik Roshan, and Pathaan (2023) starring Shah Rukh Khan as the titular character.


Who stars in Tiger 3?

Salman Khan returns to the role of agent Avinash 'Tiger' Singh Rathore. Over the course of a three-decade-long career, Khan has established himself as one of Hindi cinema's pre-eminent stars. Some of his most noted credits include Dabangg (2010), Ready (2011), Bodyguard (2011), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Dabangg 2 (2012), Kick (2014), and the aforementioned Tiger Zinda Hai (2017).

Khan has twice topped the Forbes rich list of the world's highest-paid celebrities. He is the eldest son of Indian screenwriter Salim Khan, a Bollywood pioneer in his own right and one-half of the famous duo Salim-Javed that helped launch the 'masala film' and several other sub-genres within Bollywood cinema.

Salman Khan is part of the fourth generation of the Khan family, which also includes actor/director/producers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan. Salman Khan is also noted for his work as a philanthropist and TV host.

Katrina Kaif reprises her role as fellow agent Zoya Humaimi-Rathore. British Hong Kong-born, Hindi-language actress Kaif has achieved commercial success in the acclaimed likes of Dhoom 3 (2013) and Bang! Bang! (2014).


Who directs Tiger 3?

Tiger 3 is directed by Maneesh Sharma. His debut movie was 2010's Band Baaja Baaraat, later followed by 2011's acclaimed Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl, starring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma.

Sharma's third film, A Purely Desi Romance, was released in 2013, and starred Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra, and newcomer Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. It played at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.

Tiger 3 marks Maneesh Sharma's franchise debut. The previous movie, Tiger Zinda Hai, was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
