Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical adapts the blockbusting stage musical by Tim Minchin and Dennis Kelly. The West End and Broadway smash promises to light up the screen as newcomer Alisha Weir aces the role of the titular telekinetic tyke who gets her own back on the grotesque grown-ups in her life.
Emma Thompson portrays the fearsome Trunchbull, the headmistress of the notorious Crunchem School. Lashana Lynch is the sweet-natured teacher Miss Honey while Andrea Riseborough and Stephen Graham sink their teeth into the roles of Matilda's obnoxious parents.
