1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Join Marvel's Guardians on their final jaunt across the breadth of the solar system, as directed by James Gunn in what is his final MCU movie. Chris Pratt's Star-Lord and team must reckon with Rocket Raccoon's (Bradley Cooper) tragic past at the hands of the sadistic High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji) in the only way they know how: head-on and with a soundtrack crammed full of banging tunes.

2. The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry

Oscar-winning British institution Jim Broadbent stars in this sensitive and elegiac drama, adapted by author Rachel Joyce from her own bestselling novel. Broadbent plays ailing pensioner Harold whose cross-country trek to reconcile with his dying friend compels him to confront his turbulent past.

3. Evil Dead Rise

Those notorious 'deadites' bring chaos to a decaying apartment block in this acclaimed extension of the ghoulish and gruesome Evil Dead franchise. Trust us when we say you've never seen a cheese grater deployed in such a memorably grisly fashion, but such wince-inducing moments are baked into the DNA of this infamous series.

4. The Super Mario Bros Movie

If it's family-friendly hijinks you're after, then Nintendo's blockbuster promises to take viewers of all ages to the Rainbow Road and beyond. Chris Pratt (yes, him again) voices the Nintendo gaming icon in this frenetic animated adventure that comes from the creators of Despicable Me and Minions.

5. John Wick: Chapter 4

The unstoppable Keanu Reeves cuts a devastating swathe across the world in the latest spectacular chapter of the John Wick saga. Reeves' unstoppable assassin is on a mission to bring the High Table to its knees, which means oodles of immaculately crafted martial arts and weapon-based set-pieces ranging from Osaka to Paris.

Keanu brought the John Wick magic to Cineworld Leicester Square back in March – watch the star-studded highlights in the following video clip.

6. Dungeons and Dragons: Honour Among Thieves

There's still time to catch this spirited and humourous adaptation of the cult gaming sensation at Cineworld. Chris Pine leads a band of brigands on a mythic quest in this pleasingly self-aware fantasy-adventure that remains open to newcomers while being studded with Easter Eggs for D&D aficionados. 

Given that Dungeons and Dragons was largely shot in Northern Ireland, we brought the movie home during its Cineworld Belfast premiere. The highlights can be viewed below.
