Migration will be my first-ever animated ScreenX experience, so why should I be excited?

As mentioned, no animated movie has ever played in ScreenX before, making this a historic first for the genre and an opportunity for moviegoers to broaden their moviegoing horizons in the most exciting way possible.

The movie comes from Illumination, the animation geniuses behind the Minions and Despicable Me movies, and ScreenX will embolden Illumination's characteristically bold animation. This will be further augmented by the sweeping score from animation specialist John Powell, composer of the How To Train Your Dragon series.

This experience is only available at Cineworld in the UK, so make memories that will last a lifetime.

The qualities of ScreenX are uniquely tailored for family animation, allowing the bold colours and fast-paced movements to go beyond your peripheral vision and further immerse you in a heartwarming family adventure.

How does ScreenX work?

ScreenX is unique to Cineworld cinemas in the UK. It utilises four additional projectors and strategically placed speakers to craft an enveloping 270-degree effect that puts viewers in the heart of the action.

ScreenX extends the main screen content with additional footage projected onto the side walls of the auditorium, surrounding viewers in their seats. If you want to feel like you're soaring alongside the adorable Mallard family in 270 degrees, then Cineworld is the only place you can do it.

Can you combine the Family Ticket with a ScreenX viewing?

Yes, you can – if you want to upgrade your Migration experience to premium format ScreenX you pay the uplift on the Family Ticket price.

The Cineworld Family Ticket applies to one child and one adult, rather than two adults and two children, or one adult and three children. This can be used for children up to the age of 14.

Remember, adults pay kids' prices, the savings are the same, and if you're used to buying our old family ticket, you now need to book two family tickets.

Is Migration playing in other premium formats?

Yes, Migration can also be viewed in 4DX and Superscreen. 4DX is a multisensory format that is unique to Cineworld cinemas in the UK and Ireland. It makes the feather-ruffling, wind-dapped world of Migration feel all the more palpable via motion-controlled, moving seats and effects including wind, water and scents.

Superscreen combines epic, multidimensional Dolby Atmos sound with state-of-the-art projection and huge screens to make your Migration viewing feel like a masterpiece.

Is Migration released in time for the February half-term?

Yes, Migration is now playing at Cineworld, meaning that families can get together for an exciting viewing experience during the half-term.
