The phrase 'human Ken doll' is often thrown around disparagingly. But Ryan Gosling is the real, perma-tanned deal in this new image from the forthcoming Barbie movie.
Drive and Blade Runner 2049 star Gosling plays the partner of Margot Robbie's eponymous Barbie in Greta Gerwig's movie. Already, we're anticipating a fiendishly funny turn from Gosling along the lines of The Nice Guys, in which he demonstrated his underrated comic chops. I mean, with that hair, that physique and those Ken-branded underpants, how he can be anything less than hilarious?
Gerwig has co-written the movie with her partner, Noah Baumbach, and it showcases an eclectic cast including America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Issa Rae, Michael Cera.
