A most unlikely kind of art heist gets underway in The Duke, the charming new British comedy from the late Roger Michell. Based on a remarkable true story, the film stars Oscar-winner Jim Broadbent as wily cabbie and pensioner Kempton Bunton who succeeds in lifting two priceless works of art from London's National Gallery. Fellow Oscar winner Helen Mirren plays Broadbent's on-screen wife, and surely that's more than enough thespian classiness for one movie.
The Duke screened in advance for Cineworld Unlimited members and we wanted to know what they thought. We've curated a selection of their reactions, so scroll down to discover the praise for Broadbent and Mirren's performances.
Fantastic performances from Jim Broadbent and Helen Mirren, a wonderfully written comedy drama with plenty of laughs throughout. Well worth seeing when it gets its theatrical release.

A lovely feel good film funny, witty and for the first time a small round of applause from someone at the end.

Very good storyline gave us a good feeling at the end of the film.
Wonderful! Heartwarming, laugh out loud funny and just really well made across the board, great work from Jim Broadbent and Helen Mirren. Felt like the sort of film Ealing Studios might've made if they were still kicking. #TheDuke #CineworldUnlimited

I genuinely enjoyed #TheDuke! I did umm & ahh over going but glad I did. I love movies based on real life & this was not disappointing in the slightest! Witty script & a down to earth story from the 60s. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐#CineworldUnlimited #TheBestInvestmentEachMonth
