Dune: discover the reactions to the Cineworld Unlimited screening

Cineworld Unlimited members have tweeted their stunned reactions to the sweeping science-fiction saga Dune. Adapted from the first half of Frank Herbert's novel, Dune brings us the battle between the Houses of Atreides and Harkonnen on the desolate desert planet of Arrakis. Director Denis Villeneuve marshals internecine betrayals, complex political wrangling and jaw-dropping set-pieces, as young Paul Atreides (Timotheé Chalamet) grapples with his destiny as the universe's potential new messiah.

Shot in IMAX and with a constellation of A-listers featuring, including Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac, Dune is truly gargantuan filmmaking. Certainly, the scope of the movie overwhelmed many who went to see it, including the superbly named Warlord of Didcot.

Here's a sampling of responses outlining why you must see Villeneuve's ambitious adaptation on the biggest screen possible.

Nevertheless, not everybody was won over. One criticism is that the movie might not make complete sense to those who haven't read the book.

Still, contrasting opinions are what it's all about, right? If you can't wait to see the movie again, or didn't get to attend last night's screening, click here to book your tickets for Dune. It opens in Cineworld cinemas nationwide on 21st October.
