What aspect of Spider-Man: No Way Home are you most excited about? For many people, it's the resurgence of three classic villains: Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) and Electro (Jamie Foxx). These characters are set to cause trouble for Tom Holland's Peter Parker when a spell goes wrong and opens up the multiverse, allowing these fiends to cross the time/space continuum. Let's not forget that No Way Home is a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie, and each of the three baddies cited began life outside the perimetres of the MCU when the Spidey movies were stand-alone productions.
Of course, that doesn't answer all of the questions. Goblin, Doc Ock and Electro all died in their conflicts with the various Spider-Men (Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield), so we're keen to know what the ramifications are when they cross into the world of Holland's Spidey. The presence of both Maguire and Garfield is yet to be confirmed – we're hoping that despite the repeated denials, from Garfield in particular, the two OG Spider-Man actors will show up to kick ass.
In the meantime, you can go behind the scenes of No Way Home in the following video, and revel in the nostalgic impact of the returning bad guys.
