New movie release The Menu puts a deliciously dark twist on the usual culinary experience. Ralph Fiennes is in spellbinding form as the enigmatic chef who invites a group of foodies, critics and actors to his remote island restaurant – with memorably shocking results.
The movie has been critically acclaimed for its writing and performances, also including Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult, and is on release now at Cineworld.
We wanted to get in on the action and celebrate the film's release, so we've cooked up a host of Menu-inspired scenarios at our local Cineworlds around the country. Several of these delectable events were hosted at our Cineworld ViP sites where the staff was supplied with authentic kitchen props – all the better to replicate the atmosphere of the movie itself.

At Cineworld York, our team went one step further to replicate the atmosphere of Chef Slowik's restaurant from the movie. A special sit-down menu was laid on in the manner of the film itself, complete with artfully arranged hotdogs and nachos.
Our staff members at Bedford put on their best Ralph Fiennes/Chef Slowik face as they welcomed customers to the concessions counter.
The lavish backdrop of our Cineworld Cheltenham bar reflects the gilded nature of Chef Slowik's restaurant in the movie.
Who needs fine dining and gourmet cuisine? Our own chef at Cineworld Glasgow is ready with the all the nachos, popcorn, drinks and hotdogs that hungry film fans demand.
In The Menu, it's all about the shared foodie experience. And at Cineworld Greenwich, we can see that the team got into the spirit of the proceedings.
Cineworld High Wycombe
Fiennes and the rest of the cast of The Menu preside over the lobby at Cineworld High Wycombe. And the one thing that was absent from the film's culinary onslaught? Popcorn! Luckily the High Wycombe staff made up for that.
