Watch new Wonka clips and go behind the scenes of the new Timothée Chalamet movie

Who's got their golden ticket to watch Wonka at Cineworld this Christmas? If the early reactions are to be believed then we could have a new family classic on our hands, one that sports a nimble and delightful performance from Timothée Chalamet as the young incarnation of Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka.

The movie is directed by Paul King who's no slouch on the family movie front – he's already turned the two Paddington movies into bona-fide classics (Paddington 3, absent King, is due out in 2024) and it sounds like he's sprinkled some fairy dust on Wonka's origin story.

Get a taste of the movie's candy-coloured aesthetic and irresistible sense of whimsy in the following clips. They tease Chalamet's central performance and give tantalising hints of the supporting cast including Paddington 2's Hugh Grant as the sassy Oompa Loompa who helps set Wonka on his chocolate-making journey.

And if that wasn't enough for you, discover how Chalamet became Wonka himself in the following behind-the-scenes extract.

We imagine you can't wait to enter the chocolate factory of dreams this December. So, get your journey started right here and click the link below to book your Wonka tickets. The movie opens on December 8th.
